Johor Bahru: Malaysia is ready to defend their title in the upcoming ARFU Asia Junior 7’s Under 20 Rugby Tournament during the Johor Rugby Carnival 2012 (JRC2012). The prestigious rugby tournament will be held from 21st-24th June 2012 at the Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru, Johor.There will be 10 international teams including Japan, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and Malaysia will be participating in the ARFU Asia Junior 7’s Under 20 Rugby Tournament.

Thailand and India to play single-match Rugby World Cup 2015 qualifier
China relegated to Division III after 52-3 loss to Iran
[KUALA LUMPUR, June 2, 2012]: Thailand hung tough in a tight wire match against Malaysia in the HSBC Asian 5 Nations (HSBC A5N) Division II final today in Kuala Lumpur, winning 22-19. China was relegated to Division III for 2013 after a 52-3 loss to Iran in today’s Division II 3rd/4th place play-off.
Despite having a man advantage for most of the second half after a Malaysian red card, the Thais were unable to close out the game against a gritty Malaysian team that pushed the visitors to the limit until the final whistle.

India will play Division II champion later in year for chance at promotion to Division I and progression in Asian qualification process for RWC 2015 Indonesia secure place in 2013 HSBC A5N Division III with win over Pakistan
[KUALA LUMPUR, June 1, 2012]: India held off a brave challenge from Guam to win today’s HSBC Asian 5 Nations (HSBC A5N) Division III final 18-16. Today’s result secures India’s return to the HSBC A5N Division II tournament in 2013.
As this week’s HSBC A5N Division II and III are doubling as the first stage of Asian qualification for Rugby World Cup 2015 in England, India will now have the right to play versus tomorrow’s Division II winner for a chance at promotion to Division I for 2013. Next year’s Asian qualifiers for RWC 2015 will be the Division I and Top 5 competition of the HSBC A5N. Tomorrow’s Division II final kicks off at 16.30 at Stadium Kelana Jaya between top seeds Malaysia and Thailand.
