FINAL SELECTION MALAYSIAN RUGBY TEAM

Malaysia 2012[Thursday, 24th May, 2012] Petaling Jaya: The Malaysia Rugby Union (MRU) is pleased to announce the final 24 players to represent Malaysia for the coming HSBC Asian Five Nations (Div 2) Tournaments. The National Coaching Staffs selected the players after a grueling hard fought test match against Royal Selangor Club Selections at Bukit Kiara Sports Annexe on Thursday, 24th May, 2012.


The selected players will then undergo the final training phase from 21st - 29th May, 2012 in preparation to face China on 31st May, 2012, (4.30 pm) at Stadium Petaling Jaya, Kelana Jaya.

A5N[Wednesday, 23rd May, 2012] Petaling Jaya: The Malaysian Rugby Union (MRU) will be hosting several schools in the Klang Valley for a “Rugby Coaching Clinic” session on 23rd May, 2012 at 4.30 pm. This activity is conducted as part of the activities lined up towards the coming HSBC Asian Five Nations (Div 2 & Div 3) Tournaments and also in conjunction with Petaling Jaya City Council 6th Year Anniversary celebrations.

a5nmru[Tuesday, 22nd May, 2012] Petaling Jaya: The Malaysian Rugby Team is all set to go with the start of its second phase training camp at COBRA Sports Complex, Petaling Jaya this week.

35 players including 4 naturalized Fijian players were selected to undergo the first phase training camp starting from 14th May, 2012 following the conclusion of the MRU Super Cup and MRU Super league which ended on 13th May, 2012.

HSBC has been the title sponsor of Asian Rugby Football Union (ARFU)’s “Asian Five Nations” tournaments since its inauguration in 2008 and is committed to supporting the growth of rugby at all levels in Asia.

Johor Rugby Carnival 2012

JRUIskandar MalaysiaARFU 7s U20Johor Bahru - The eagerly anticipated Johor Rugby Carnival is back with twice the intensity and twice the fun. This year Johor will be treated to not only highly competitive international teams vying for glory, but also amped with a whole line up of entertainments ranging from artiste performances, carnivals, games and tons of activities to engage the whole family.

There will be 12 international teams from Asian countries including Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia as the defending champion will participate in the ARFU 7’s Under 20 Rugby Tournament.

Apart from it, 64 teams will be participating in the Iskandar Malaysia 10’s Rugby Challenge for both Under 15 and Under 18 category. Top schools team from all over Malaysia such as SM Sains Selangor and Sekolah Sukan Tunku Mahkota Ismail had confirmed their participation this year.

Wan Ibrahim Wan Chik[Kuala Lumpur, 7 Mei 2012] Mesyuarat Khas Ahli Majlis KRM pada 6hb Mei 2012, telah bersetuju menggantung En. Wan Ibrahim Bin Wan Chik, Pengurus Pasukan Ragbi Sekolah Sukan Tengku Mahkota Ismail (SSTMI) yang juga Ahli Majlis KRM (Pengarah Pembangunan KRM) atas kesalahan yang dilakukan semasa Kejohanan Ragbi Liga Super KRM 2012.

Lanjutan dari itu, beliau dilarang terlibat dalam semua aktiviti sukan ragbi berkuatkuasa serta merta sehingga keputusan selanjutnya diambil oleh Lembaga Disiplin KRM.

Tindakan ini dibuat bedasarkan Perlembagaan KRM, Seksyen (9.3.6).
